Localgiving.com, the online giving site for small, local charities and community groups, is to run its Grow Your Tenner campaign again in October.
Eligible charities in England using the Localgiving.com platform will be able to have donations up to £10 matched from a total of £500,000 from the Cabinet Office. When £500,000 has been matched and turned into £1 million, the campaign will end.
The campaign begins at 10am on 15 October 2013.
Monthly donations
Localgiving.com will also double monthly donations up to £10 a month for six months, adding an extra £60 to the total received by the charity. Single donations will be doubled £-for-£ up to £10 each. Of course, Gift Aid adds even more, turning a single £10 donation into £22.50.
The matched giving will also apply to donations received for charities through its new fundraising pages. So charities will receive a matched gift when friends, family members, colleagues and neighbours sponsor a fundraising challenge.
