Manchester Neighbourhood Profiles Published

31 Oct 2016 - 15:13 by helen.walker

Neighbourhood profiles for the 12 One Team Localities across Manchester have been developed and published by Manchester City Council.

The main purpose of the profiles is to to support the development of out of hospital and urgent care services at a local level and to help the 12 integrated neighbourhood teams in Manchester (and other people delivering services at a local level) to determine their priorities, agree the outcomes they want to achieve and think through the ‘how, what and where’ of service delivery.

To date, two sets of profiles have been produced:

- A Local Health profile that is based on the data that is published as part of Public Health England’s Local Health tool, and compares the key features of the population living in each of the 12 neighbourhood areas of Manchester with England as a whole. The data in the Local Health tool was updated in September 2016 and the latest version of the profile draws on that updated dataset.

- A Mosaic profile which provides more detailed information about the households who live in different parts of each neighbourhood area. It draws heavily on the insights that can be gained from the Mosaic Public Sector segmentation tool produced by Experian.

This information could be useful to any organisation working within a neighbourhood in Manchester and is available from the Manchester City Council website
