It’s been 10 years since Professor Michael Marmot last looked at health divides. His latest report, while not painting a pretty picture, does highlight some of the work that has been going on in Manchester to help try to buck the national trend.
The Marmot report calls Greater Manchester ‘pioneering’ in the way it tries to deal with the problems that make people ill in the first place. It highlights the many services and initiatives that have been set up to try and make a difference locally.
