One Manchester Inclusive Community Welfare Support Fund

one manchesterOne Manchester are seeking to offer at total of £100,000 of grants, with a maximum grant size of £25,000 that will support more effective and coordinated access to welfare support and assistance in our communities. One Manchester want to hear from organisations that already have experience in providing relevant support in our communities that are committed to sharing information and increasing coordination of the support they provide with One Manchester, and other service providers.

Key objectives of the fund are to support:

  • Locally specific, holistic, high quality welfare assistance and support services that will reduce financial hardship and enhance wellbeing within priority neighbourhoods
  • Projects that help address root causes of financial hardship and reduce dependency
  • Organisations and projects that will integrate with existing provision, minimising duplication, and maximising utilisation
  • Project that increase equality of access to support available
  • More sustainable and longer-term approaches to community based welfare support provision

One Manchester will accept applications from Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations that are Manchester based, predominantly serving residents in the following Manchester neighbourhoods:

  • Ardwick
  • Beswick
  • Clayton
  • Fallowfield
  • Gorton
  • Hulme
  • Levenshulme
  • Longsight
  • Moss Side
  • Moston
  • Newton Heath
  • Openshaw
  • Rusholme
  • Whalley Range
