Funded by the Manchester Local Care Organisation for two years (1st April 2025 - 31st March 2027), Manchester Settlement (Charity based in Openshaw) is inviting written expressions of interest from four VCSE organisations to be engaged in a community-based Action Learning Project in the neighbourhoods of Cheetham and Crumpsall, Higher Blackley, Harpurhey and Charlestown, Miles Platting, Newton Heath, Moston and City Centre and Ancoats, Beswick, Clayton and Openshaw.
As well as supporting YOUR communities to understand and manage their LTC’s, within the context of Health Inequalities, you will receive the time to develop your learning by receiving a training package which will include community engagement practice (The Framework for Health Creation) and project monitoring and evaluation.
In turn, you will receive a total of £32,000 each year to recruit/deploy a co-ordinator who will engage with 4 ‘other’ organisations in your neighbourhood.
This two year opportunity gives you the time to connect with other organisations in your neighbourhood, build on your community engagement practice and support your learning in project management via a respected and well known anchor community hub; known for its innovative practice. “We will support you through our ethos of empowering others and valuing our voluntary sector!” – Maqbul Rose, Project Manager, Manchester Settlement.
Deadline for applications 28th April 2025
