As you may already know, Manchester Health and Care Commissioning (MHCC) in partnership with Manchester City Council (MCC) are launching a Population Health Fund which is split into an Older People’s Fund and a Fund for the First 1000 Days of a Child’s Life.
Recently the MCC team asked eligible applicants to submit a non-binding Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Older People’s Fund to gauge interest and to see if there would be any gaps in provision across Manchester’s neighbourhoods. They have now reviewed all the EOIs and published the results in the table on Macc’s and MHCC’s website.
Although the table shows there are multiple EOIs for several neighbourhoods, only one bid can be funded per neighbourhood. This is therefore a great opportunity for applicants proposing to work in the same areas to consider how they might work together and groups are encouraged to do this.
MCC and Macc are looking to hold a workshop to discuss partnership working in September - watch this space for the date. More information on the launch of the fund and the application process will follow separately.
