Postcode Community Trust Grants

Postcode Community Trust is a grant-giving body funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Postcode Community Trust provides funding opportunities to community groups and charities in Scotland, England and Wales, through grants ranging from £500 - £20,000.

Postcode Community Trust provides short-term, designated funding to good causes that promote community development and demonstrate positive change through access and engagement.

Postcode Community Trust aims to fund grassroots organisations, local charities and
non-profit community businesses seeking to change their local area in a positive way. You can apply to Postcode Community Trust if you are one of the following:
• Constituted Voluntary and Community Organisation
• A Registered Charity
• A Community Interest Company
• Charitable Incorporated Organisation

Postcode Community Trust seeks to help groups participate more fully in activities within their community, especially for those who may feel isolated through disability or age. Postcode Community Trust want to help them overcome these barriers in creative and sustainable ways.

Projects should help people gain better access to community facilities, community activities and strengthen communities in ways that are different, sustainable and reach a wide number of people.

Postcode Community Trust provides funding for activities that:
• Work in innovative ways to relieve older people’s isolation
• Support people looking after others
• Enhance volunteering opportunities
• Promote community arts projects
• Promote team/group sports and activities that benefit communities
• Provide/enhance places for sport and recreation
• Promote interaction of different generations
• Promote a community’s social history

Applicants that are not formally registered as a charity can apply for £500 - £2,000, applicants that can provide a valid charity number, can apply for between £500 -£20,000.
