The RADEQUAL Campaign was co-designed with communities and its aim is to build resilience to hateful extremism - ideas, attitudes and behaviours that are hateful towards specific ‘others’ and designed to undermine social cohesion.
The programme is looking for organisations and groups in Manchester who want to deliver engagement, events and training which help to build awareness and capacity to tackle hateful extremism.
For 2024 groups and organisations in the city are being offered a small RADEQUAL grant (up to £3,000) to deliver engagement, events and training which help to build awareness and capacity to tackle hateful extremism. Alongside the grant process, the programme also plans to re-launch the Manchester RADEQUAL Community Network and to connect with groups and organisations in Manchester who have an interest or would like to participate in activities relating to the RADEQUAL campaign.
The RADEQUAL Grant funding theme for 2024 is ‘Building Community Resilience to Hateful Extremism’. Hateful extremism is defined as ideas, attitudes and behaviours that are hateful towards specific ‘others’ and designed to undermine social cohesion.
