Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards

13 Mar 2015 - 11:45 by michelle.foster

The Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards (SEDA) aim to support social enterprises and charities with trading activities looking to grow their business and improve their local community.

The Development Awards are targeted at established social ventures that have ambitions to develop their organisation but need a financial boost to help them realise their potential. SEDA is an annual competition with winners selected on the strength of their business plan for growth.

The Development Awards are focused on two types of enterprises:
• Enterprising Charities - Growth Award offers a prize of up to £10,000 to support UK registered charities and community groups looking to increase trading
• Social Ventures - Catalyst Award offers a prize of up to £10,000 to social enterprises looking to grow their business

Santander will work with the winning businesses to help them assess their community impact, make the most of their prize money and help add value to their enterprise.

In addition to the cash prize the winning social enterprises will have access to a variety of other opportunities:
• Monitoring and evaluation support so you can measure the success of your business
• Networking with other Santander Social Enterprise Development Award winners
• Access to mentoring and business advice
