The Smiles Fund by Walkers and Comic Relief is inviting proposals which use participation in the arts and comedy to challenge stigma and provide community-based support for people who are experiencing emerging symptoms of poor mental wellbeing at an early stage. Research during the Covid-19 pandemic shows that some groups have been the worst affected in terms of mental wellbeing and we are particularly keen to reach them as the effects of the pandemic continue to be felt. This includes, but is not limited to, people facing:
- Discrimination and disadvantage
- Prolonged uncertainty and unemployment
- Emerging mental wellbeing challenges
- Loss and isolation
Investments range from £100,000 - £300,000.
Funding is available for a minimum of 18 months to a maximum of 30 months.
For this fund eligible organisations need to have a minimum annual income of £75,000.
Deadline: 15 September 2021, 11am
