Social prescribing focus group recruitment

The University of Manchester are looking for voluntary sector community organisations in Greater Manchester that support older adults and/or mental health to provide input into planning a research recruitmentproject. The project will be broadly about the implications of your organisation’s involvement in social prescribing by health and social care organisations. For example, its impact on capacity or how you work.

Participating in this planning work will mean taking part in three, two-hour in-person workshops in Greater Manchester – locations to be confirmed. The University of Manchester are looking for one person (paid staff or volunteer) from up to 10 organisations to attend three workshops, which will allow them to continue a conversation about what involvement in social prescribing might mean for the voluntary sector.

Each participating organisation will be reimbursed £80 per workshop. Travel expenses will also be paid and refreshments provided. The workshops will take place in late September/October 2022 with dates to be confirmed.

If your organisation is interested in taking part or you want more information contact Mhorag Goff (Dr/Ms) on 0794 786 0241 or email: [email protected]
