Stockport and Manchester Answer Cancer Outreach

Rising Stars North West have a new project starting in February called Stockport and Manchester Answer Cancer targeting men of African and Caribbean descent living in Stockport and Manchester. The aim is to raise awareness about prostate and bowel cancers, have a better understanding of signs and symptoms to look out for, and how and where to get tested.  

Rising Stars North West will be delivering workshops virtually with professional health practitioners/specialists, as well as community pop up events.  

There will be monthly pop up / outreach community engagement workshops from February – May in community spaces such as barbershops, places of worship, takeaway shops, restaurants, car washes, car garages, and gyms.
