TfGM e bike vouchers – helping more people access e bikes

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is committed to making walking, wheeling and cycling more accessible to the people of Greater Manchester. To support this, TfGM have launched a new e bike subsidy scheme, designed to help remove financial barriers to cycling to purchase and own an e bike. Cost is one of the biggest barriers to e bike ownership, and this scheme aims to remove this for people who would benefit the most.

The scheme offers vouchers worth £300, £800 or £1,000, redeemable at selected bike shops across Greater Manchester. Applications are open to residents aged 16+, with priority given to people and communities who are under represented in cycling or who may struggle to afford an e bike without support.

How it works

  • Applicants complete a short online application
  • Eligibility is assessed on a case by case basis
  • Successful applicants receive a voucher to use at a participating bike shop
  • Vouchers must be used within three months

The scheme will remain open until funding is allocated, so early applications are encouraged.
