threadUp CIC have launched a survey to better understand the wellbeing needs of those working in the creative sector.
threadUp CIC is a Manchester based not for profit organisation with a mission to support and improve the mental health and wellbeing of every creative and artist they can reach.
Founder Rafaela Nunes has been supporting creatives and artists in her counselling practice since 2018, and found that when visiting non permanent cultural structures such as festivals/fringes/creative events, the levels of stress experienced by a great number of those working in these structures rocketed.
It was then that the idea of extending her one-on-one mental health and wellbeing support of creatives expanded to become the service ‘threadUp pitchUp’ a mental health and wellbeing hub based in the aforementioned structures, providing therapeutic support to all of those involved with delivering them in any capacity.
This survey is crucial for threadUp CIC to better understand the needs of the creative community and to provide them with evidence to persuade potential funders to support this project. With this funding threadUp CIC can provide a free or subsidised service for service users when their need is high.
