Trustees Week 2012: 5 – 11 November

26 Oct 2012 - 10:35 by michelle.foster

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.

Trustees’ Week 2012 is 5 –11 November and their website: http://trusteesweek.blogspot.co.uk/ will be regularly updated with news and information in the run up to the week.

Trustees’ Week 2012 is the third annual celebration of trusteeship, to highlight the great work that trustees do, and to draw attention to the opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a real difference - no formal qualifications are usually needed, and many charities need more trustees.

It is hoped that charities and other organisations across the sector will get involved by organising events and activities to mark Trustees' Week 2012 to celebrate the fantastic work that trustees do for charities around the country and to encourage more people to think about whether trusteeship is right for them.
