Manchester City Council are inviting proposals from interested freelance individuals or consultants to submit proposals to secure this piece of work, which aims to build the capacity of the learning hubs network to better train, develop, deploy and support volunteers.
This project will provide an opportunity to continue to work with members of the learning hubs network on an intensive basis with a selected cohort of volunteers who are in a position to develop their role as work club leaders; trainers and advisors.
This work will link in over a six month period (October 2014 – March 2015) with other capacity building support being provided the Network.
The successful applicant will work closely with up to eight key voluntary organisations and community groups who form part of the South Manchester Learning Hubs Network. These groups include:
1. Levenshulme Inspire
2. JNR8
3. Westcroft Community Centre
4. Barlow Moor Community Association
5. Community Minded, Old Moat Sure Start
6. Ladybarn Community Association,
7. Fallowfield Library
8. Burnage library
The successful applicant will develop and deliver bespoke volunteer development training and support programmes to build the capacity across the network of learning hubs to deliver a quality adult learning offer. The programme will also offer career development and support for volunteers as well as an assessment of future HR needs within the learning hubs.
