Make sure you have a unique Manchester Day experience by being part of the show. 
There are hundreds of opportunities to be part of the event, and Manchester Day is looking for enthusiastic people to play a key role in helping to bring the streets of Manchester alive with colour, music and performances.
Manchester Day is one of the biggest outdoor events in the UK, with tens of thousands of people filling the streets to celebrate this year’s theme: The Word on The Street.
Opportunities include creative roles both in the run-up to the event and on Manchester Day itself, helping top artists create the incredible costumes, artworks, structures and props that will transform the city centre in June.
Before the day, you can volunteer from a few hours to a few weeks, and the experience will give you the opportunity to work with established carnival artists and be involved in creating the Manchester Day spectacle.
On the day, volunteers can also help to communicate with the Manchester Day crowds, handing out programmes and answering any queries people have about the event.
In addition, there are creative roles on the day preparing the parade, helping groups with floats and accessories, and directing participants to their positions. You could also be part of the parade itself or help bring the city centre squares alive supporting the performances and installations.

Manchester Day will take place on Sunday 17 June from midday until 6pm.
