You can apply to be members of either the Making Manchester Fairer Programme Board or Communities and Power Forum and have an important role in helping to tackle the injustice that sees some Mancunians have worse health than others and die earlier than they should.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use and build on your skills and experience to create a long-lasting positive impact on the lives of Manchester residents.
These are voluntary positions.
For the Programme Board Manchester City Council are looking for people with experience, knowledge and understanding around the relationship between health inequalities and:
- Children and young people
- Older people
- Poverty and debt
- Housing and homelessness
- Tackling racism and discrimination
- Places, transport and climate change
Manchester City Council are also looking for people who understand the role that business can play in our vision to make Manchester fairer for all.
For the Communities and Power Forum Manchester City Council are looking for local leaders from communities that experience racial inequality.
Manchester City Council are keen to receive applications from across our public, private and VCSE sectors.
