We are a collective, a united team of passionate individuals who are committed to going beyond traditional boundaries and amplifying the voices of our community.We have an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Officer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement outreach plans that reflect the ethnic diversity of the local population. You will organise local engagement activities, attend community events and create engaging activities for multiple  people involved  You will collect and record feedback from parents in hospital and community settings, utilising social media and focus groups to enhance community engagement.Our  Engagement Officer will recruit and coordinate a team of volunteers to support engagement activities,  assist with events/projects and complete administrative tasks. They will collaborate with the MNVP Lead and Family Empowerment Project Manager on various projects.This role would suit a person who is a natural communicator with excellent time management skills who thrives on building and maintaining strong relationships.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and put in place outreach plans targeting diverse local populations, including seldom-heard and at-risk groups.
  • Empathetically collect and record feedback from a diverse range of parents in hospital and community settings.
  • Use social media and focus groups to gather community feedback and enhance engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups and organisations to support broader projects
  • Represent our organisation positively at events and provide clear information.
  • Prepare reports and analyse feedback to inform our work and improve services.
  • Recruit and coordinate a team of volunteers to assist with engagement activities.
  • Liaise with the  Patient Advocacy Lead (Maternity) and Family Empowerment Project Manager providing assistance with events, projects, and administrative tasks as needed.

Our ideal candidate will have 

  • Full driving license and access to your own transport.
  • Some knowledge of maternity/neonatal services.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a busy environment
  • Strong organisation skills.
