Clinks quarterly women’s networking forums, hosted in partnership with the Agenda Alliance, provide support, information and networking opportunities to those working with women in contact with the criminal justice system. They include updates on policy, member activity and host speakers on relevant topics. Clinks CEO, Anne Fox is a member of the Women’s Justice Board, and the forums provide an opportunity for her to update members about the Board’s work.
The forum offers the space to gather feedback and discuss key issues raised by organisations working with women in contact with the criminal justice system, enabling Clinks to reflect these to national government at Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) meetings.
This forum will include a focus on the issue of recall to custody. Recall rates for women are rising sharply. Ministry of Justice figures released on 24 April 2025 show a 38% increase in the national recall rate for women (October–December 2024 compared to the previous year), rising to 67% for those serving short sentences. We will hear about work to understand the reasons for this and explore potential solutions.
