Longsight Art Space are running free community consultation sessions across Gorton South this June.
Longsight Art Space have received funding through Pride in Place under which £20 million is being invested in Gorton South over the next ten years. The plan is to go out into the community and hear directly from local residents. Longsight Art Space want to know how people feel about where they live, what matters most to them, and what they would love to see happen in their neighbourhood.
The sessions are free, drop-in, and open to everyone:
- Saturday 21 June, 2pm - 4pm: Annie Lees Park, Mount Road, Gorton, M18 7BQ
- Monday 23 June, 4pm - 6pm: Sunny Brow Park, Knutsford Road, M18 7AG
- Friday 27 June, 12pm - 2pm: Nutsford Vale Park, Manchester, M12 5SZ
No booking is needed.
The session will include making butterflies together as a fun and creative way of gathering people's thoughts and ideas in a relaxed and accessible setting. Everyone is welcome to join, whatever their age or background.
The feedback gathered from these sessions will feed into the Pride in Place community panel and help shape how this investment benefits local people. The more voices Longsight Art Space hear, the better.
