Over the last 12 months, Making Smoking History has worked together with eight voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to co-create, test, and evaluate a new Greater Manchester Smokefree Spaces Toolkit.
Together, they have explored how community organisations can create voluntary smokefree outdoor spaces that promote healthier, more inclusive and welcoming environments for staff, volunteers and local communities. The toolkit provides practical guidance to support implementation, while ensuring support is readily available for people who want help to quit smoking.
