Together Works is the Social Enterprise Network for Greater Manchester. Using their experience of building sustainable finance models, they have designed a programme to support community groups, charities or start-up enterprises to develop their proposal to sustain or improve the assets and services loved and valued by local communities in the region.
Together Works are seeking applications from people, groups or organisations with:
• Innovative ideas
• A strong cause
• Enthusiasm
• Commitment
This may involve charities or services that are at threat of ceasing, owing to pressures on the grant incomes that they have traditionally relied upon to sustain the support services they offer. It may be a community group seeking to take over a building, service or asset. Or, it may be a local social enterprise start-up idea.
This Awards-for-All funded programme will run from July to September 2013. Approximately 20 groups will be accepted onto the programme which will offer coaching, mentoring and a series of workshops tailored around the specific needs of the cohort. Each will be supported to develop their business plan. Proposals will be pitched to social finance experts in a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style event, hosted by Together Works.
Applications that meet the criteria will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis from midnight on 8 July 2013.
