Members needed for Audit and Accounts Committee and Human Resources Governance Panel

The Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd, is looking for independent members for the Audit and Accounts Committee and Human Resources Governance Panel.

The Audit and Accounts Committee meets at least four times a year to scrutinise the Commissioner’s and GMP’s finances.

The Human Resources Governance Panel advises the Commissioner on employment and appeals issues.

The role of the member of the Audit and Accounts Committee will be to assist the Committee to effectively discharge its role by providing advice on matters relating to the office and force’s arrangements for audit, risk management, governance and control.

Members are expected to attend four committee meetings per year.

Aims:
• To attend and participate in meetings of the Audit and Accounts Committee.

• To assist the office and force in discharging their powers and functions as set out in the Terms of Reference of the Audit and Accounts Committee.

Successful applicants will be paid an attendance allowance plus any travel expenses.

Interviews will be held in October 2013
