Organisations involved in the provision of money advice and financial literacy projects are invited to apply for funding from the United Utilities Trust Fund.
Revenue Project Funding
Funding is available up to £62,500 over 2 years for projects that will advise and support people who need help:
• coping with the implications of Welfare Reform on their personal and household budgets when unable to access help elsewhere
• accessing online welfare benefit entitlements and other web-based facilities to encourage sustainable financial well-being
Applications are welcome from any voluntary organisation, not for profit organisation or registered charities
What types of projects will be considered for the 2013/14 programme?
Projects should enhance and develop the provision of debt/money advice services to individuals within the United Utilities Trust Fund geographical area.
All organisations must be able to demonstrate that a project will benefit people who are currently in hardship and who are unable to meet the costs of water and/or sewerage charges provided by United Utilities.
Small grants - Funding available up to £1,500
What types of projects will be funded?
All organisations must be able to demonstrate that provision of a ‘small grant’ for their project will benefit people who are currently in hardship and who are unable to meet the costs of water and/or sewerage charges provided by United Utilities.
For example the grant could be used to provide relevant training, promotional or training material or capital equipment to help you enhance your services.
This year Trustees are particularly looking to invite applications for small grants that will help organisations provide advice and support to people who need help:
• coping with the implications of Welfare Reform on their personal and household budgets when unable to access help from elsewhere
• accessing online welfare benefit entitlements and other web-based facilities to encourage sustainable financial well-being
