Do you want to raise awareness of the great work your charity does to help others? Text Santa aims to help someone near you and raises funds every year to do just that.
As well as raising money, the aim is to maximise brand awareness for all of the charities involved. Text Santa provided the charities with 6 hours of airtime through ITV’s existing programming formats and regional news!
In order to be able to apply for the opportunity to become a Text Santa beneficiary your charity must comply with the following criteria:
• Registered UK charity with regional operational presence. i.e. the work carried out takes place within the regions as well as nationally. At a minimum, the charity should have operational presence in at least 2 of the 4 nations (Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales)
• Charity funds must be for UK based projects
• The primary function of the charity is to provide practical and tangible help for people in need
• Income level of the charity must be declared on this application form and will be verified if selected. Minimum level of average annual income is £1.5 million based on submitted accounts 2010-2012
• Confirmation that Text Santa funds will not be used for core charity running costs, political lobbying or religious campaigns
• Confirmation that the charity is not running any major Christmas campaigns of their own or with another 250 FTSE company or UK broadcaster between October 2014 and March 2015 that would conflict with Text Santa
• Clear equality policy in relation to protected characteristics covered by the Equality Act 2010 including age, gender, gender reassignment, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnership or pregnancy and maternity
