Hough End Hall is a Grade II listed, former family home of the Mosley family in Chorlton and is up for sale. Chorlton Civic Society project in conjunction with Three’s Company are looking at this as a great opportunity to buy the building and keep it in the community for use by the community.
The building has a long history, being built in 1586, and said to be “the best, the only major Elizabethan mansion of Manchester red brick…with mullioned and ransomed windows and gables”.
It has been empty for too long and now is the time to bring it into community ownership and make it a hub for meetings, exhibitions, functions and other exciting cultural activities in Chorlton.
Chorlton Civic Society project in conjunction with Three’s Company think they should try and raise the money to buy the Hall and then to run it as a community centre.
They are looking for anyone with a passion for preserving the heritage to join them and make it work for the community.
Hough End Hall comprises 6,278 sq ft, arranged over basement, ground and first floors, open plan interior and ample parking front and rear.
