Consultation on the B&B/hotel Code of Conduct

Manchester City Council, along with its partners in AGMA have been working to improve the standards of B&Bs and hotels within the region, which are used by Homeless services.

In order to facilitate the improvement a code of conduct has been produced, which should improve quality of service, value for money and foster better partnership working between LA's, agencies and providers.

The code will be owned and operated by all partners and will be a dynamic document which can be improved upon in the spirit of partnership working.

In addition it is proposed that an AGMA B&B framework is put in place to establish a network of B&Bs across the region to build capacity for Homelessness applicants especially in times of emergencies and severe weather. It will be a prerequisite of this framework agreement that providers sign up to the code of conduct.

The draft code and consultation can be found attached.
