The annual Tesco Food Collection is happening in your local Tesco Thursday 29 November, Friday 30 November and Saturday 1 December 2018. 
FareShare need volunteers across the UK to sign up to three hour shifts in their local Tesco stores to help collect the food by handing out shopping lists to Tesco customers, explaining how Tesco Food Collection works and encouraging them to make donations. The more volunteers sign up, the more food can be collected.
You can make a big difference to the 8.4 million people currently living in food poverty in the UK, as donating just three hours to help collect food on any of the days above, could collect enough food for 600 meals.
You will be in store handing out FareShare ′shopping lists′ with suggested donations. Customers can then buy items from this list to leave at the in-store food collection. This food is taken to the nearest FareShare warehouse where volunteers sort it to be distributed to the 21 regional locations.
