Help the Homeless Grant Scheme – next deadline 15 December 2019

Help the HomelessGrants of up to £5,000 for capital projects are available to small and medium-sized charities registered in the UK working to assist homeless people to rebuild their lives and return to the community.

Objectives of Fund
Help the Homeless is a small grant maker with limited funds available for giving.
It provides funding to support small and medium-sized UK charities that work to help homeless people rebuild their lives and re-enter society.

Funding is targeted at projects to find practical ways to help disadvantaged individuals return to the community through training or residential facility provision, rather than merely providing short term shelter.

UK registered charities can apply. Charities must be registered with the Charity Commission in England, Wales or Northern Ireland or with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.

This fund is aimed at supporting small and medium-sized registered charities with an annual turnover of under £1 million and with unrestricted reserves of under six months annual running costs based on their latest published annual accounts.

The funding is for capital items and projects. Projects must assist individuals in their return to mainstream society, rather than simply offering shelter or other forms of sustenance.
