Manchester Histories Festival 2020 Celebration Day goes virtual

Manchester HistoriesDue to Covid-19 the Manchester Histories Celebration Day will not happen this year.

Instead, the team at Manchester Histories invite you to be part of a new online histories and heritage market place that promotes and profiles all of the great work that happens across Greater Manchester and the North West. A chance to celebrate all the hard work of organisations that are often run by volunteers, but play an important role in telling local stories and help to connect people together through history and cultural activities.

Manchester Histories want to create a comprehensive profile on their website of all the different local history societies and organisations. Creating a resource that can be shared with the public covering the aims of each group and how people can engage. Manchester Histories will create an online profile for each group or organisation that becomes a virtual stall if you will.

The aim is that this resource continues to be useful after lockdown as a historical documentation of organisations and as a guide for people to know what exists and for future celebration days.

If you would like your group or organisation to be featured as part of this resource, complete the online form here by 6 July 2020.
