Are you a member of Tameside’s ethnic minority community? Would you like to make a difference to people living in Tameside? Do you want to join a dynamic forward-thinking Charity? Do you have local community experience, knowledge and involvement?
Diversity Matters North West (DMNW) is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. It provides a range of services including social and physical activities, training programmes, volunteering and support to women in crisis.
The Board wishes to further diversify and complement their existing expertise and skills base and has opened two positions for members of the local ethnic minority communities to join the Board as trustees. Candidates must have the drive, initiative and demonstrate commitment to local development.
DMNW seek a minimum commitment of 2 hours every three months (currently quarterly, 5-7pm) on a Monday (this is subject to review), but if you can spare more time than this there are opportunities to work on the sub-committees. During the pandemic are meetings are virtually via Zoom.
This is not a salaried position, but you will be able to claim reimbursement of any out-of-pocket expenses.
