The Ripples of Hope Festival celebrates the power of people to make human rights a reality for all.
Inspired by people – their stories, their strength and their creativity – Ripples of Hope is a new, unique 5-day festival for all of us to:
- Think about the challenges we face as communities and as humanity
- Celebrate the power of people to make change
- Explore how we can – together – take action to make human rights a reality in our communities and across the world
Over a weekend of conversations, workshops and performances, you’ll hear from – and hopefully add your voice to – activists, performers, poets, organisers and artists as you take in stories, discuss and debate, laugh and listen around five themes: Dignity and Justice, Equity and Equality, Arts and Culture, Activism and Participation, and Environment and the Planet. Across each, you’ll be prompted to think about the challenges we face as communities and as humanity, exploring how we can – together – take action in our communities and across the world to create a future that truly serves people.
You’ll hear powerful voices from every walk of life. Hear from speakers including life-long LGBTQ+ Activist Peter Tatchell; world-famous human rights Activist, Kerry Kennedy; Journalist Gary Younge; Women’s Equality Party Leader, Mandu Reid; Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Kailash Satyarthi; Singer-Songwriter, Billy Bragg; Philanthropist and Activist, Gina Miller; Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage and more.
With speakers including footballer and anti-poverty campaigner Marcus Rashford and former US Secretary of State and 2016 Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton this is certain to be a special event.
Free tickets are available for those working with community groups, not for profits – or could just do with a little support to make it possible to come along. Access free tickets here
