Are you taking your first steps into digital service design? If you need some support, sign up for a free Design Hop. The five-week course from CAST is delivered across three 1.5 hour sessions and 10-14 hours of self-study while working on your own project. The course teaches a step-by-step method for user centred digital design, helping participants tackle genuine organisational challenges. You'll complete the course having gained a clear understanding of the design process, insights into user needs – and a ‘starter solution’ to take away. The course is suitable for ‘digital beginners’ from UK non-profit organisations.
A Design Hop teaches charity participants a step-by-step method for user centred digital design, leading to unexpected insights, powerfully simple digital solutions and a hunger to keep tackling complex problems.
It’s a free course that supports non-profits on a digital journey to solve a real challenge for your organisation.
You’ll gain:
- Confidence with digital and reusing a design process in future
- Crucial new insights and knowledge about tech habits and needs of your users
- Your own minimum viable product (a ‘starter solution’) to take away to solve a real problem
- A fresh new network of other charities and experts using digital for good
Who can participate?
Staff and core volunteers from UK non-profits of all sizes who are curious to learn about the potential of digital.
Ideally CAST are looking for decision-makers who will be able to put the methods learnt directly into practice and are in a position to further develop ideas, for example by allocating internal resource or making grant-funding applications. You should have a good understanding of your charity’s existing services and the challenges in providing them.
CAST are running two Hops in early 2022 January and March.
