Queen's Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund

13 Jan 2022 - 13:30 by michelle.foster

fundingThe Queen's Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund aims to use sport and physical activity as a means of bringing a community together and tackling inequalities via awards of between £300 and £10,000 from a pot of £5 million of National Lottery funding.
Sport England want to mark and help celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year by supporting projects that bring a community together and provide opportunities for people who may be less physically active.

Sport England want organisations to consider how they could work more collaboratively across their community, in order to make the biggest possible impact.

The fund particularly wants to support projects working with people located in areas of high deprivation (specifically people living in areas defined by Indices of Multiple Deprivation 1-3).

Sport England recognises there’ll be many people who have lower levels of sport and physical activity outside those geographic areas.

The fund would really like to see projects that are built from local experience and feedback; that bring together various groups and communities; and also make the most of local facilities and equipment.

It’s important your project can continue to run, or have a lasting legacy as a result of the funding.

You don’t have to be a sports organisation to apply but you should show how you have the skills and experience to deliver the project.
