Parade – Saturday 24th August

The iconic worker bee, deeply rooted in Manchester's history, emerges as the focal symbol for this year's Pride Parade theme - ‘Buzzin’ to be Queer - A Hive of Progress’. Dating back 150 years to the industrial revolution, the bee has evolved beyond a mere emblem; it has become a powerful representation of Mancunians' hard work ethic and the bustling energy that defines the city as a hive of activity.

Gay Village Party

With a vibrant array of bold and diverse performances across The Village Stage, The Alan Turing Stage in Sackville Gardens and the Indoor Arena, our line-up aims to centre and empower the diversity of Greater Manchester’s incredible LGBTQ+ talent, showcasing the importance of party as protest and bringing Pride back to its roots.

The Candlelit Vigil – Monday 28th August

The Candlelit Vigil provides a moment of reflection to remember those we have lost to HIV. The Vigil also presents an opportunity to stand together unified against the discrimination and stigma that LGBTQ+ people still face today.

Superbia

Manchester Pride's year-round arts and culture programme, promotes a series of alternative events each year as part of Manchester Pride Festival. Designed to showcase Manchester's extraordinary queer talent and cultivated with love, acceptance and inclusivity at its core, Superbia provides a culturally rich way to celebrate Pride. Many of the Superbia events we promote are delivered in alcohol-free, accessible spaces across the city centre, and span a diverse range of mediums such as music, dance, filmmaking, workshops, socials, parties and more.

Youth Pride MCR

Youth Pride MCR events provide a safe and nurturing environment where young people can explore diverse identities, develop new skills, forge meaningful friendships, and express themselves authentically. Curated just for 14-18-year-olds, Youth Pride MCR is designed to build confidence, foster connections, and offer a space for young people to thrive.

Family Pride MCR

LGBTQ+ families, single-parent households, same-sex parents, adoptive families, foster families, and multiple family homes all deserve to be seen, heard, and loved. Our mission with Family Pride MCR is to ensure that the stories we share with children reflect the beautiful world they live in - a world where all families are valued and embraced. The event offers vital representation and visibility to families that don’t always see themselves reflected in heteronormative society, and we’re proud to offer children and families a friendly space to meet, connect and celebrate pride in a way that’s designed just for them.

All dates and times for current events to be confirmed. Additional events organised by organisations across Manchester will be announced in due course.
