Welcome to the virtual premises noticeboard for voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations in Manchester.

The purpose of this noticeboard is to facilitate timely connections between VCSE groups based in the city of Manchester regarding premises offers and requests.

Manchester Settlement:  Manchester Settlement is a community space. Flexibility on room hire. Rooms available are often used for training, support groups or sessions. Have delivery space which could be used for arts or rehearsal space. Possible hot-desking facilities with 10 desks available tech equipment and Wi-Fi. Zion Centre Offices: We have filled our previously available room spaces but still have rooms to hire as one off bookings. The Zion Centre is in Hulme close to the city centre. Kath Locke Centre office: We have filled all our previously available office space but do still have rooms available to hire as one off bookings. The Kath Locke Centre is based in the thriving Moss Side community and offers a free reception, access to rooms for meetings, Wi-Fi and car park. The Stroke Association in Manchester provides help and support for anyone who has experienced a stroke and their families through practical advice, support sessions,  research and campaigning.

The stroke association here always accepting referrals and work with both stroke survivor and carers living life after a stroke in north South central Manchester.

The Stroke Association are currently using several community venues including Neighbourhood Centre in Harpurhey, Gorton Hub and Ellwood Park and Friends Meeting House in Northenden.

The Stroke Association currently offers support in North and Centre Manchester and are currently recruiting for their staff team.

Northmoor Community Centre is a community Central based in Longsight, which offers homework clubs, community dinners, stay and play sessions, English classes and a range of social activities.

Northmoor Community Centre homework club sessions have received feedback from the young people about their levels of stress and anxiety. Northmoor would like to support their young people with these concerns and are looking for any organisations who have speaker or could offer support to these young people with ways to reduce their stress and anxiety to contact them.

Northmoor Community Centre have room available to hire 7 days a week – out-of-hours bookings require an induction.

All rooms on the ground floor are fully accessible with accessible facilities and a T-Loop in the Conway Room.

Free WiFi available at all times and during office hours use of: a flipchart, whiteboard and projector on request.

Extras (during office hours): Refreshments catering at £1.50/head; printing and copying.

They do not hire the room for parties or for political meetings.

There is on-street, no-permit parking on all surrounding roads and we’re a 5 minute walk from the busy, A6 Stockport Road bus route including 191, 192 and 197

Rethink Rebuild Society (RR) is a charity that works towards improving the lives of refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants, in particular but not exclusively Syrians in the UK, helping them become positively established within British society.

Rethink Rebuild Society are based at the Discovery Centre in Levenshulme and working with Manchester residents.

They have space to rent, with classroom that holds up to 20 people,

a conference size room for up to 160

an office space, which is available several weekends.

Rethink Rebuild Society provide warm spaces and offer free meals during holidays periods to bring Syrian families together to enjoy Syrian food.

01.11.2022 Mint Radio are looking for premises in Gorton or surrounding areas. They are looking for a base for the station...they have some furniture already stored and have 30 volunteers but expect that to increase in the coming weeks. 06.12.2022 Show Racism the Red Card North West are looking for premises in Manchester or Salford for between 7 and 10 people, with breakout space and meeting room space available. If possible, easily accessible via public transport.

akt supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.

Akt are looking for a venue to host sessions for young people.

Looking for an accessible building which easy for young people to get to (with good transport links) and where young people would feel comfortable.

The space would offer a confidential meeting space and larger space for group work.

Ideally in the city centre or close by.

TLC St Luke’s was established to help people with mental health needs, by providing a safe and welcoming environment, and offering support and activity to all participants.

TLC St Luke’s are exploring options for alternative/additional venues in Ardwick later in 2023.

TLC are looking for venue space in the Ardwick/ Longsight area.

Need a venue with storage facility.

For 3 hour sessions for regular drop services and arts sessions.

They do not need a permanent room and would be happy to hire space as they go.

A low cost or free room would be ideal.

Vocal

Vocal is a Not for Profit organisation hosted by University of Manchester NHS foundation Trust and the University of Manchester, to explore people’s experiences, with the aim of developing and improving research leading to better diagnosis, treatments and care. Vocal are seeking a fun venue to host Young person’s advisory group Voice Up (ages 11-24). Session will include presentations and interactive workshop activities

Capacity: 15-20 people (inc. facilitators/presenters)

Location: Central Manchester (alternate locations may be considered, if good public transport links available)

Date: Saturday or Sunday in April/March

Time: Total 5 hours: 3 hour session + 1 hour prep + 1 hour clean-up (ideally, 10:00-15:00)

Looking for a space to use for a few hours a week, to host one to one wellbeing session for clients. While we search for a longer-term venue. 

Established in 2020 we provide vital support to vulnerable refugees and migrants in Manchester to overcome multiple challenges such as housing, health etc. 

We are ideally looking for a free space but hope we can secure some funding to support us to pay for a venue.
