Manchester Volunteer Advice Partnership run 9-week training courses (sessions every Tuesday) teaching you how to give good quality advice on welfare benefits and housing, as well as assertiveness and communication skills. During this training, you will also be placed as a volunteer at one of their advice centres, either Manchester Refugee Support Network, Cheetham Hill Advice Centre, Manchester Mind or the Town Hall Project (at the Booth Centre). This placement will be half a week day, usually a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.

7 February, 1.30pm at Woodville SureStart Centre

14 February, 9.15am at Zion Community Resource Centre in Hulme
The recruitment session is an opportunity to meet the volunteer co-ordinators, learn about what the training involves and sign up. They usually don’t last more than 45 minutes.
