Community Nature Grant

Are you part of a Manchester-based community group? Has your group got an innovative project idea to help your community come together around nature to take positive action on the fundingenvironment? Want to be part of one of the biggest community climate campaigns in Manchester?

Between now and 2025, the In Our Nature team will be working with communities across the city to connect the climate crisis to practical actions we can all take to make a difference, reduce our carbon emissions, save money, and learn something new too.
As part of this In Our Nature want to empower local communities to make positive changes in their area by providing funding for innovative, community-led nature projects that respond to needs and priorities of local people.

Successful groups will get:

  • A grant of up to £2000 to bring their project to life
  • Opportunities to connect and share experiences with the other successful groups
  • To join a research project linking nature connectedness to environmental behaviour and action
  • Access to wider support through the In Our Nature programme including:  
    • Graphic design support  
    • Guidance with evaluation and measuring impact
    • Support with showcasing your project through video, photography, and copywriting  
    • PR opportunities and features on In Our Nature channels

A variety of non-profit and voluntary groups such as community groups, youth clubs, resident and neighbourhood associations, community interest companies and social enterprises.
