Charity Governance Awards 2024 are the UK awards that recognise and reward charities achieving great governance.
The awards shine a light on the trustees – and their charities – that make change possible day after day, showcasing the stories that best demonstrate how effective governance can help charities transform the lives of people and the communities in which they live. The Charity Governance Awards are organised by The Clothworkers’ Company – a City Livery company that supports trusteeship initiatives – in partnership with NPC (New Philanthropy Capital), charity recruitment specialists Prospectus and volunteer-matching charity Reach Volunteering.
Entry to the awards is free and there are five categories to choose from, each offering a £5,000 cash prize to winners and £1,000 to runners-up, among other rewards.
The award categories are:
- Board Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
- Transforming With Digital
- From Systemic Challenge to Meaningful Change
- People in Governance
- Improving Impact (charities with 0-3 paid staff)
- Improving Impact (charities with 4–30 paid staff)
