Date & time: 16 October 2024, 12:00pm - 3:30pm

Programme Challenger and the Greater Manchester Anti-Trafficking and Slavery Forum invite you to join them for a dynamic partnership event which is one of their key events during Anti-Slavery Week.

Modern Slavery is a complex and intersectional crime and cannot be tackled in silos. This interactive event will aim to engage professionals across services to strengthen the understanding of a survivor journey, and available multi-agency partnership response to identify and protect victims. It will be an opportunity to further develop your approach to identifying and responding to the issue, with actionable recommendations being shared throughout the event.

Expert speakers will provide introductions to the key issues covered. The main part of the afternoon will be a table top exercise working through a modern slavery case study based on accounts of survivors in Greater Manchester. This is an opportunity to work with colleagues across services such as adults social care, housing, police, support charities and more to understand and share what opportunities and options are available to ensure those experiencing modern slavery and human trafficking are supported and perpetrators are identified and brought to justice.
