Anjum Malik

- One of three Manchester's first Multilingual City Poets who has been appointed to produce original work on behalf of Manchester, as part of the International Mother Language day 2022.

- Senior lecturer at the Manchester Metropolitian University

- Born to Pakistani parents, her family has a history of prominent writers, poets and photographers in Pakistan 

- Previous career in the Police Force

- Written for Coronation Street and doctors 

 

Zidane Iqbal

- Manchester United's first British South Asian player, who became the first British South Aisan to play in the Champions League

- Joined United from the age of nine in their youth team

- Football inspirations include Mesut Ozil, because he comes from a muslim background too
