#NeverMoreNeeded - Stories from Manchester VCSE organisations

#Nevermoreneeded

Manchester City Council are facing large budget cuts due to a number of factors including loss of income (Manchester Airport Group) and extra costs of Covid-19. This will have an effect on the funding that goes to Manchester’s voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.

We want to use the next couple of months to campaign for the sector, showing the value it has and the impact on people’s lives. We want to gather stories on the difference the VCSE sector is making to the people they work with and we will be highlighting these using the #NeverMoreNeeded campaign, through our website, social media and directly in meetings with influencers and decision-makers. We are gathering together these stories alongside data about impact and what would be lost if funding is reduced.

Below are some of the stories of Manchester organisations (some taken from our Spirit of Manchester Awards nominations) who currently receive some funding from the Council.
