Laughology

Twice a year, Laughology opens its Happiness Fund for applications from grassroots, not-for-profit community projects across the UK. It provides a total of £20,000 across the two application cycles. Each cycle will make two awards of £5,000.

The funding supports local work that aims to improve mental health, wellbeing, inclusion and skills development. The aim is to help build happy, strong and resilient communities, with an emphasis on projects designed to deliver sustainable outcomes.

Grassroots, community-based organisations can apply as long as they are not-for-profit and non-political and can show a focus on longevity and sustainability.

The grants can be used to support neighbourhood-based community projects linked to the fund's priorities. Eligible activities include those intended to create longer-term impact and that have the potential to continue beyond the initial grant period. Priority is given to work that is designed to be sustainable.
