Morrisons Foundation Connecting Communities grants offer up to £20,000 to charities who provide placed-based services to our entire community or specific groups.
Funding is available to support capital projects that:
- Breathe new life into local spaces: Upgrade and revitalise buildings and outdoor areas
- Bring people together: Reduce social isolation and foster a strong sense of belonging
- Secure the future: Ensure vital local services remain open and accessible for generations to come
Morrisons Foundation want to provide the essential capital needed to transform aging, underutilised, or inaccessible spaces – whether they serve the broad public or offer targeted, specialist facilities for specific groups within the neighbourhood.
By investing up to £20,000 per project, Morrisons Foundation aim to unlock the potential of these local anchor institutions. The funding aims to reduce social isolation, fosters a deep sense of belonging, and ensures that the physical spaces at the 'heart' of communities remain resilient, inclusive, and equipped to serve for generations to come.
Applicants must:
- Be charities registered with the Charity Commission England and Wales, OSCR, Jersey Charity Commissioner, Charities Register of Guernsey and Alderney or the Board of Charity Commissioners for Gibraltar
- Own the property where the project is being delivered, or have a long-term lease with a minimum of 3 years remaining
- Have at least one set of accounts filed the relevant charity regulator
