Microsoft 365 offers huge possibilities. But most charities simply use the most popular programmes – Word and Excel, mostly – and not particularly well. 365 has so many applications, so many hidden features, that every charity can benefit from learning its secrets.
This course aims, in just three hours, to empower charities to make the most of Microsoft 365 and other non-profit offers. It provides a clear overview of common Microsoft subscriptions for charities, including an exploration of the features in Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium, as well as a look at specialised licenses, such as Defender, Project, and Teams Voice. You will learn which subscriptions will best suit your overall needs.
The first session covers with the administrative side, such as setting up your own domain, how to manage DNS records, TXT records, MX records, onboarding best practices, creating and administering users, setting up roles, and so on.
The second session is about making the most of the 365 programmes, such as optimising your email, making the most of distribution lists, best practices for using OneDrive, the basics of SharePoint, security concepts such as multi-factor authentication, and so much more.
Who is the course suited to:
The workshop is perfect for any charity professional interested in improving operations using Microsoft 365. You don’t need to have any pre-existing skills, or any knowledge of the programmes. The course is a safe space to ask questions of the presenter and your peers.
