The Disclosure and Barring Service puts safeguarding at the heart of all they do. The Disclosure and Barring Service help employers make safer recruitment and employment decisions by processing and issuing DBS checks for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. DBS also maintains the adults’ and children’s Barred Lists and makes considered decisions, as to whether an individual should be included on one or both of these lists and barred from engaging in regulated activity.
Join The Disclosure and Barring Service for their annual conference, which will bring together experts, partners, and stakeholders from across the safeguarding community to explore the continually evolving landscape within safeguarding. You will hear from Jess Phillips, Minister for Safeguarding Chairman, Dr Gillian Fairfield and new Chief Executive Jeff James.
Through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, The Disclosure and Barring Service will reflect on their shared progress, best practice and look ahead to the future of safeguarding.
The two-day agenda is packed with thought-provoking sessions designed to inform, inspire, and engage. From keynote addresses, delivered by experts, to breakout workshops and live Q&As, the programme offers something for everyone with an interest in safeguarding.
