Live Well inclusive by design

Date & time: 23 March 2026, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Venue
Friends' Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester, M2 5NS

Participatory workshop exploring accessibility, inclusion and trauma-informed approaches in the built and natural environments of Live Well.

Making Live Well inclusive, by design explores how to embed accessibility, inclusion and trauma-informed approaches into the built and natural environments of Live Well spaces and centres across Greater Manchester. Through interviews taking place during the festival, the event will gather insights from partners and communities, culminating in this participatory workshop in March to bring together ideas, challenges and examples of great practice to shape the future design of Live Well spaces, places and neighbourhoods.

Live Well is Greater Manchester’s commitment to great everyday support in every neighbourhood – rooted in community power, prevention and inclusion. From welcoming local spaces and centres to neighbourhood-based support, Live Well is about reshaping how places, services and communities work together, putting people’s everyday experiences at the heart of design and decision-making. As the movement continues to grow, there is a real opportunity to build on the engagement and co-design already taking place with equity partners, networks and communities - and to ensure accessibility, equity and inclusion are embedded from the outset.
