Date & time: 29 November 2024, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Venue
St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green North, Manchester, M12 6FZ

Community-university partnerships are becoming more popular and co-production is a value increasingly embraced by research funders. Nevertheless, it is still relatively uncommon for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to be included from the beginning when it comes to developing a research project.

Come and join speakers from academia and the VCFSE sector to learn from their experiences about the challenges and opportunities of developing research projects together across sectors.

This event is a joint initiative of the Greater Manchester Third Sector Research Network and Manchester Metropolitan University.

It is aimed at VCFSE organisations with an interest in learning more about designing research projects with academics to develop mutually beneficial ideas and collaborations.

At this event you will have the opportunity to:

  • Discuss and network with colleagues from the VCFSE sector and Manchester Metropolitan University
  • Hear about and share experiences of working in partnership with academics
  • Explore the challenges and opportunities of working together across sectors
  • Learn about what to consider when partnering with an academic on developing a research project
