Who we are:

We are a small group of volunteers based in Highfield Country Park in Levenshulme, looking after the nature in the park and addressing barriers to access so that all people can enjoy and understand wild nature. Our activities include free nature walks, coppicing and scything.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the right mix of managerial/leadership skills and a willingness to lead us forward to achieve our objectives and activities. We care passionately about protecting and enhancing nature in Highfield and about addressing the barriers to access, so that everyone in our community feels safe & welcomed into the park, with opportunities to learn more about nature and enjoy it. 

What would you be doing as a volunteer?

The successful candidate will work with our volunteers, nature experts, sister organisations and Manchester City Council (who own and manage the park), ensuring our strategy is achieved and modified as necessary to embrace new ideas or changes in circumstances.
